Thank you for your interest in becoming a PAWS Humane volunteer. We truly appreciate those who are able to donate their time and help the homeless pets of PAWS Humane.To begin volunteering at PAWS, you must be at least 16 years of age and attend one of our Volunteer Orientations from the schedule below. Please click the link below to sign up for orientation. PAWS volunteers are required to wear a volunteer t-shirt, which must be purchased prior to volunteering. The cost is $10.80. If you are under the age of 16 and would like to learn more about project opportunities, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Orientation will begin promptly and doors will close at 5:30pm. In order to take full advantage of our condensed session, please be sure to arrive 5-10 minutes early. Orientation will last approximately one hour and includes a tour of the facility.
Special note: Ages 16 or 17 must have a parent or legal guardian come to orientation to sign the youth waiver release form. However, they do not have to stay for the entire orientation.
Volunteer Position Examples
There are many ways volunteers can make an enormous difference in animal lives at PAWS Humane. Here is a list of a few examples of how you can help:
- Mobile Adoptions/Special Events
- Foster Homes
- Potty Patrol
- In-Room Socializing
- Playground Monitors
- Dog Bathing
- Cleaning – If you wish to volunteer by cleaning, you must come in one day prior to volunteering to shadow adoption staff while cleaning. We clean every day from 7-10 a.m. You must be here for the entire 3 hours.
- Photography – professional and unprofessional. For casual/unprofessional pictures, if you are walking a dog and have a friend with you, make sure the friend snaps some photos of the fun stuff y’all are up to. You may send all photos to our Marketing Director at email@example.com.
